Grace Amazing
Amazing is your grace
My Spirit is rising
Your thoughts of me perfect
My response inadequate
Is that not grace
Lifting inadequacy
Above life’s very depths?
Grace amazing!
Amazing is your grace
My Spirit is rising
Your thoughts of me perfect
My response inadequate
Is that not grace
Lifting inadequacy
Above life’s very depths?
Grace amazing!
Can anything hurt more?
Nature abhors a vacuum
Feeling unloved
Centers the vacuum in the pit
Of your stomach
Can there be anything worse
Than the pain of rejection
That claws at the vast
Feeling of nothingness
Inside
You are my Mighty Counselor.
Thank You for making it possible for me to discover You.
Thank You for teaching me your ways.
Thank You for teaching me to find joy in the waiting.
Thank You for showing me how not to fear my fears so much.
Thank You for spending time with me.
Thank You for showing me that everything is going to be alright
He wasn’t smart
Nor was he pretty
Big enough for
Eighth grade at two
What a pity
His mother hid
In the closet
And left his food
At the door
Who’s that hulk
In the front row
He doesn’t belong
Out of place here.
I can tell them
From the back
Don’t you know
They come and go?
It is like a wave so high
Yet does not slam us
Into the sand
It almost tickles!
It sets us in a state of joy
When we are in a painful way
As we stray from the hope of
That great come and get it day.
