Feeling the Pain

Feeling the Pain

I feel pain
How do I regain
My ego reigning To
Continue the feigning

Is there another way
My execution to stay
Keep terror at bay
Stay another day

Imagine

Imagine

Imagine there’s
No preachers
Preaching hell
If you can

Imagine no god
Above us
Who just can’t
Understand

Perhaps

Perhaps

A quiet inquisitiveness
Will come
And erase
The chatter in my mind

Perhaps
I will think with my heart
In a flickering of love,
Maybe I have already
without noticing it

The Last Conversation

The Last Conversation

It will not be the whispers
With a loved one
As you lay dying
It will not be with Peter
At the pearly gates

It will be a dream
Reminding you
Of a face to face
With the Christ

I Am the Lord’s Sheep Dog

I Am the Lord’s Sheep Dog

I am the Lord’s sheep dog
I shall not want except to run freely.
You made me to run through green
Pastures, filled with your lost sheep

You strengthen my soul
And build willingness
Into my heart
For your namesake

Sideline Christian

Sideline Christian

Many Christians are,
Sidelined by design.
Has God put them there
To rest, to think clearly
To hear Him more nearly?

Too much preaching
Hammering home a message,
Hiding a love so tender.
I am a tired Christian
Sidelined by His love!
