WEEDS
Weeds
Weeds are the reminder
Evil doesn’t go a way
In this generation
Nor does aggravation
Sorrow or pain
Only fear can go a way
Because I said
Fear not
I am here to stay
The crosses of life
Are here to stay
As well
For a while
See how evil
Plants itself
Under our feet
And attempts to
Strangle our hearts
Be of good cheer
I will never leave
Or forsake you
Is the clarion call
Our warm embrace
Our victory in the race
An eternal sun
Rises every morning
To remind us of
The glorious day
When tears will
Be no more
The light of day
The reminder to pray
The energy
To push away
The barking dogs
Of fear
Is ever ours
Embrace the power
Of my presence
Feel the warmth.
Of My sacrificial sun
Burning with love
For you
Gentle are my fingers
Running through.
Your hair
Reminding you
I am here
I am the King
Of weeds
I fill all your needs
But no peace until
You give me your will
Then you will be able
(This is not a fable)
To slow it down
Come close to the ground
Be like the earth
From which you have sprung
You are a weed yourself
Grown for my glory
